The First Impressions and Follow-Up Ministry is the heart of hospitality and connection at GTM. This team is called to represent the love of Christ through welcoming experiences—from the moment someone arrives at a service or event to their integration into the church family.

We don’t just greet people—we build relationships. We don’t just collect names—we cultivate spiritual journeys.


🎯 Ministry Objectives

  • Create a warm, welcoming, and Spirit-filled environment for every GTM attendee

  • Make first-time guests feel seen, valued, and loved

  • Collect and steward visitor information for effective follow-up

  • Provide next-step guidance (e.g., salvation, baptism, small groups, volunteer sign-up)

  • Maintain intentional communication with newcomers after their first visit

  • Support retention and assimilation into the life of the ministry

Key Ministry Practices

  • “15-Minute Rule”: Focus on guests for the first 15 minutes before connecting with friends

  • “3-Minute Touch”: Within 3 minutes of arrival, every new guest should be greeted with eye contact and a smile

  • Connect Card Strategy: Every visitor is encouraged to complete a simple connect card or QR form

  • 48-Hour Follow-Up: Every guest receives a personalized follow-up call/text/email within 48 hours

  • 7-Day Next Step: Within a week, guests are invited to attend a small group, event, or info session


📈 Follow-Up Funnel Strategy

  1. Connect Card/QR Scan Collected

  2. Welcome Message Sent (within 24 hours)

  3. Follow-Up Call or Text (within 48 hours)

  4. Prayer Offer / Link to Resources (Day 3–5)
